NE Children's Parties are a leading event management company specialising in delivering high-energy, unforgettable experiences for children and adults. We are looking for Sports Students and Sports Graduates who want paid, hands-on experience running real events alongside their degree or after graduation.
This role is perfect for those studying Sport, Sports Coaching, Physical Education, Sports Science, or related degrees, who want practical experience without unpaid volunteering.
Job Details
* Job Type: Part-time
* Hours: 16 hours per week (9am–5pm, Saturday & Sunday)
* Rota: 2 weekends in followed by 2 weekends off
Potential for additional paid hours during busy periods
* Contract: 6 months to permanent upon successful completion of probation
* Pay: £13.00 per hour (paid experience – no volunteering)
What You'll Be Doing
* Coaching, leading, and hosting paid sports and activity events for children and adults.
* Delivering structured events including Nerf gun parties, glow-in-the-dark discos, glow-in-the-dark football and dodgeball, glow-in-the-dark Nerf events, football parties, dodgeball parties, and similar activity-based sessions.
* Leading events for groups of up to 35 children, keeping sessions fun, safe, and well organised.
* Speaking confidently in front of children aged 4–15 years, giving clear instructions and managing group dynamics.
* Loading equipment into your vehicle, travelling to venues, unloading, setting up, and packing down after events.
* Ensuring all activities follow safety guidelines and risk assessments.
* Representing NE Children's Parties professionally when interacting with parents, venues, and participants.
Who This Role Is Ideal For
* Students currently studying Sport, Sports Coaching, PE, Sports Science, or similar degrees.
* Recent sports graduates looking to build real coaching and event delivery experience.
* Individuals who want paid weekend work that directly supports their studies and future career.
Requirements
* Some experience coaching, leading sports sessions, or working with children (through study, placements, or previous work).
* A full UK driving licence and own reliable vehicle (essential).
* Comfortable with manual handling and heavy lifting, including transporting event equipment.
* Confident, energetic, and happy leading large groups.
* Available to work weekends and public holidays.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Reliable, punctual, and professional.
