About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Supervisor to support the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality patient care across operational services within the South East of England.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate healthcare professional to play a key leadership role in supporting frontline clinicians, promoting clinical excellence, and ensuring operational standards are consistently maintained. The successful candidate will provide professional leadership, mentorship, and clinical guidance to operational staff while contributing to continuous service improvement and patient safety initiatives.
The role requires strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills, with the ability to support staff in a dynamic and fast-paced healthcare environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide clinical leadership and support to frontline operational staff
* * Promote best clinical practice in line with Trust policies, JRCALC guidelines, and NHS standards
* * Support the development, mentoring, and coaching of clinicians
* * Undertake clinical audits, reviews, and investigations where required
* * Assist with incident management and clinical governance processes
* * Support staff wellbeing, professional development, and performance improvement
* * Monitor and maintain high standards of patient care and safety
* * Work collaboratively with operational managers and multidisciplinary teams
* * Participate in service improvement initiatives and quality assurance activities
* * Maintain accurate records and reports in line with Trust requirements
* * Support compliance with safeguarding, infection prevention, health & safety, and information governance policies

Essential Requirements
* Registered healthcare professional with current HCPC/NMC registration (where applicable)
* * Significant experience within urgent, emergency, or ambulance care services
* * Previous experience in a supervisory, mentoring, or leadership capacity
* * Strong understanding of clinical governance and patient safety principles
* * Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* * Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
* * Full UK driving licence

* Leadership or management qualification
* * Experience within an NHS ambulance service
* * Teaching, mentoring, or assessor qualification
* * Knowledge of operational performance management
* * Experience conducting investigations, audits, or quality reviews
