Performance Profile : Responsibilities: Diagnosis and repair of a range of radio equipment, from hand portables to installed base stations and microwave systems. Carry out full diagnostic test of radio equipment by utilising a range of bench and portable test equipment. Maintain standards of technical excellence within the department. Ensure a right first-time approach is mandated in the department. Ensure all documentation is completed and returned in a timely manner. Ensure that Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to at all times. Actively seek and exploit earning opportunities for the company. Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities considered appropriate by the management of the company. Supporting and maintaining radio systems. Liaise with customers in respect of system reporting, performance, and maintenance issues. Skills and experience: Essential: Able to work at heights and in confined spaces. Able to work under own initiative to deadlines Able to work away from home. Ability to work as part of the existing team Willing to undergo security assessment/vetting · Good written and verbal communications skills Full UK driving licence. Desirable: Experience of the two-way radio communications industry Knowledge, experience & understanding of IP based technologies including routing, switching. Able to work to component level ONC Electrical/Electronics or equivalent experience
