AWS Cloud Platform Engineer – fully remote role

Our client, a fast-growing company, with an award-winning SaaS solution, is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer. Their disruptive technology is at an exciting phase of growth as the company expand into new markets and drive growth in existing markets. The AWS Cloud Engineer will join the Platform Development team and you will work with a highly skilled and friendly team to develop this state-of-the-art, real-time cloud telematics service.
The role
The AWS Cloud Engineer will be responsible for the following:
* Contributing to the architecture and design of the AWS cloud infrastructure as it evolves, with key focus on scalability, high availability and fault tolerance.
* Developing new features and improving the existing functionality of our cloud infrastructure.
* Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for deployment of projects and services into cloud environments.
* Ensuring the successful operation of the cloud infrastructure, including the creation and monitoring of dashboards and alerts and setting service KPIs.
Criteria
* Experience using Amazon Web Services (AWS)
* Experience utilising serverless cloud computing methodologies and services, such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS and SNS
* Python Development Experience
* Experience writing tests for code/applications
* Experience with GitHub and code management
* Experience of agile methodologies using JIRA
Skills Desired:
* AWS certifications
* Experience with large scale real-time data streaming using cloud technologies
* Experience with AWS IoT related services
* Experience deploying cloud applications using AWS Developer Services (Code Pipeline, CodeBuild, CloudFormation)
