Spire Claremont Hospital, based in Sheffield, has an amazing opportunity and are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Director of Clinical Services to provide overall leadership and management to all clinical service areas within the Hospital. As Director of Clinical Services, you will play a pivotal role in the ongoing development and further expansion of clinical services at Spire Claremont, whilst overseeing a clinical team of Senior Department Lead’s across the hospital.

As Director of Clinical Services, you will play a pivotal role in the ongoing development and further expansion of clinical services at Spire Claremont, whilst overseeing a clinical team of Senior Department Lead’s across the hospital.
Duties and responsibilities
As Director of Clinical Services, you will work predominantly Monday – Friday around the core hours of 9-5, however will be flexible to meet the needs of the department, as well as taking part as the Senior Management on call system.
1. You will ensure that clinical governance, patient safety, and satisfaction are at top of agenda daily
2. Work closely with the Governance Manager and your Heads of Department to ensure that we are always fully compliant with CQC regulations
3. Ensuring good infection prevention control across the hospital
4. You will lead your teams on quality Improvement strategies
5. Lead and implement the hospital’s clinical strategy and provide support and input to the hospital’s overall business strategy
6. Promote a cost effective, patient focused quality service for the continuing success of Spire Healthcare
7. Provide clear focus on business results, maintaining the balance between quality healthcare delivery and sound financial performance
8. Support the commercial development of clinical services including actively creating new business and innovative opportunities
Who we're looking for
9. Registered Nurse or equivalent healthcare professional with a valid NMC or HPC registration, without any restrictions
10. A minimum of 3 experience in managing a senior team of clinical professionals in either the NHS or Private hospital.
11. Strong clinical knowledge of a hospital, ideally with surgical ward experience
12. You will utilise your leadership skills to demonstrate good clinical practice
13. You must be willing and clinically able to partake in clinical duties as and when required
14. Strong understanding of clinical governance is essential
15. Innovative and dynamic thinker with an enthusiastic approach
16. Completed mentorship or teaching qualification
17. Completed management qualification would be an advantage, but not essential
