Key Responsibilities
* Lead, manage, and develop warehouse loading teams, including performance reviews, training, absence management, discipline, and resource planning to meet operational, financial, and customer requirements.
* Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing Health & Safety standards, managing accidents/near‑miss reporting, overseeing fire evacuations, and ensuring only trained staff operate equipment.
* Oversee compliance with all regulatory and quality standards (GDP, MHRA, GMP, DOT Air Freight Security), ensuring documentation, SOP adherence, housekeeping, and cold‑chain disciplines are consistently met.
* Ensure operational accuracy by monitoring behaviours, equipment condition, error reporting, and completion of all loading, transport, driver, and customer documentation.
* Protect site security by controlling access points, ensuring correct uniform/ID pass use, and responding to key alarms including Liquid Nitrogen activations.
* Drive effective communication and continuous improvement by delivering briefings, liaising across departments, and encouraging best practice across loading and warehouse operations.
Competencies
* Previous warehouse experience beneficial but not essential
* Strong leadership skills.
* Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.
* Proficient in Microsoft products.
