Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a high-performing secondary school in Brent to recruit a flexible and skilled Qualified Cover Teacher. This role is perfect for a QTS-qualified teacher who enjoys teaching across a range of subjects without the full planning or marking responsibilities of a permanent post. You’ll provide high-quality classroom cover during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on track with their learning.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging, pre-planned lessons across various subjects and key stages (KS3–KS4)
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies to maintain a productive learning environment
• Encourage student participation and maintain focus during lessons
• Offer brief handover notes to subject teachers after each session
• Adapt quickly to different classes and departments, demonstrating flexibility and professionalism
Requirements
• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – essential
• Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills
• Ability to cover multiple subjects confidently
• Positive, adaptable, and proactive approach to teaching
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply) and full compliance with safeguarding protocols
