Responsibilities
* Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, and management of orthopaedic conditions, including trauma and elective cases.
* Perform orthopaedic surgical procedures (e.g., joint replacement, fracture fixation, arthroscopy) to the highest clinical standards.
* Lead multidisciplinary ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and emergency on-call sessions.
* Ensure continuity of patient care from admission through postoperative follow-up.
* Request and interpret investigations such as X-rays, MRI, CT, and laboratory tests.
Leadership & Supervision
* Supervise and mentor junior doctors, registrars, nurse practitioners, and allied health professionals.
* Provide clinical decision support to emergency and ward teams.
* Participate in departmental leadership, governance meetings, and service development.
Quality & Safety
* Adhere to evidence-based practice and clinical guidelines.
* Lead or participate in clinical audits, morbidity and mortality meetings, and quality‑improvement initiatives.
* Ensure all care complies with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
