Job Purpose:
Planning and management of field-based technical support services to provide new and existing customers the ability to manufacture all company products in the most economic and efficient way possible. At the same time liaising with design, production and suppliers to assist in the resolution of product or fabrication issues to ensure minimum cost to the business and lowest possibility of reoccurrence.
Key Accountabilities:
* Adherence to all organisational policies, management systems and standard operational procedures, including legal responsibilities in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality.
* Work positively to develop and foster good working relationships with colleagues and contracted personnel to maintain a culture of mutual respect and dignity.
* Represent the organisation in a positive way to avoid damage of corporate image or bringing the company into disrepute.
* Promote and display the Epwin Core Values.
* Ensure compliance with all company policies, management procedures, systems of work and standard operating procedures.
* Ensure that Company HR procedures are followed within the scope of responsibility.
* Ensure that HSWA is always complied with and all accidents and near misses are fully investigated.
* Manage projects to provide customers with the ability to utilise PVC-U and Aluminium profile ranges to fabricate fenestration products to the required standards.
* Ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
* Provide technical support to company manufacturing operations regarding quality and product application.
* Provide overview and advice regarding product and equipment to in-house and external customers.
* Provide support to customers to resolve end-user issues to ensure costs are mitigated to the business.
* Manage the day-to-day operation and workload of the R&D workshop and testing facility.
* Chair meetings and produce reports as required to provide information to the Divisional and Group Board.
* Communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation and build strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
* Develop staff using the business PDR process and maintain levels of personal competence through CPD.
* Champion continuous improvement activity and act as a change agent throughout the organisation.
* Budget responsibility for yearly PVC-U and Aluminium allocation, ensuring correct use and quarterly review.
Key Experiences and Skills Required:
* High level of numeracy and literacy.
* Good ability with Microsoft software.
* Strong communication skills.
* High level of industry knowledge.
* Formal engineering qualification.
