Our client are a precision manufacturing business, based in Birmingham, specialising in machining and assembly of high value low volume components. The Junior Quality Compliance Officer will be detail oriented, hands-on, can-do individual who has the ability to support various departmental requirements. The Junior Quality Compliance Officer will be required to ensure that products have the correct material certification/ documentation on time to the required quality standards in accordance with the customer specification.
Responsibilities
* Demonstrate outstanding organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Compile material certification/documentation packages for all customer documentation requirements as defined by the relevant customer contracts.
* Assist in the delivery of key activities and projects as required.
* Work to very tight and constantly changing deadlines with absolute discretion.
* Prioritise workload and work on own initiative to achieve required deadlines.
* Support visitors on site on a day to day basis when required.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date data related to Quality Administration / Certification, in conjunction with the Companies Quality Administration Control processes, to ensure products are traceable and delivered with correct certification / documentation.
* Ensure all trackers are updated.
* Recognise and interpret material certification (2.1 - Certificate of Conformity, 3.1 - 3.2 True and Intent - Mill certificates) and associated records (not welding records, dimensional reports, CMM records, etc.).
* Carry out relevant Quality Administration checks, ensuring that process documentation is stamped and/or signed accordingly.
* Highlight, investigate and resolve any discrepancies with material certification, documents or administration prior to delivery to the Customer.
* Take ownership of Customer complaints relating to document packs compiled and provide resolution to issues raised.
* Cover for Quality Compliance Administrator as required.
* Perform 'Buddy checks' with Final Inspection.
* Support the contract review process, ensuring it is adhered to and fully reviewed prior to acknowledgements.
* Update and maintain HelpSpot.
* Provide backup to the quality team, covering holidays and/or supporting overflow activities as deemed appropriate by the Senior Quality Compliance Officer.
* Support the quality team in relation to the procedures for ISO 45001, 9001 and 14001.
* Ensure standard operating procedures are adhered to; highlight deviations and, if necessary, review and update SOPs to ensure accuracy.
* Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures.
* Promote the requirements of the Quality Culture and encourage others to operate with the same values.
* Participate in cross-functional teams.
* Maintain communication and good relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
* Carry out any other duties appropriate to the post, as necessary or requested.
* Support in raising and actioning DRs, where applicable.
Essential Qualifications / Experience / Skills
* Strong administration experience in a Manufacturing/Engineering environment.
* Proven experience of documentation compilation and control.
* A high level of attention to detail, prioritisation and planning skills.
* Strong computer literacy with experience in IT systems and intermediate-advanced level in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
