Job Overview: McDermott is a leading engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) company focused on executing complex oil and gas projects on a worldwide scale. This position is be based in the business unit office in Feltham. The main responsibility is to be responsible for the successful planning and execution of offshore installation scopes, reporting directly to the Construction Manager. Essential Qualifications and Education: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (Civil, Mechanical, Ocean, Naval Architecture. Minimum 8 years of experience in Engineering or Construction environment Minimum of 2 offshore installation projects executed (inclusive of office based work as well as vessel based activities). Pipelay background is a must. This includes: Procedures and deliverables Construction Support Engineering Suppliers and subcontractors Fabricated installation aids SITs of permanent structures as well as installation aids and critical equipment Responsible for delivering part of a package in an EPCI project. Does not have financial accountability but is expected to have significant exposure to the financial aspects, factoring it as much as possible into his decision-making process. Is able to build rapport and gains respect from people with varied experience and background. Manages junior engineers reporting into the package Monitors/expedites and reports to project management: Status of readiness Delivery of materials and equipment required for the execution of the offshore installation activities (with Procurement Coordinator) Interfaces with Engineering as necessary to ensure readiness of engineering deliverables on time for the start of the installation campaign Daily progress with Production and Offshore Field Engineers Client Free Issue material Actual offshore schedule and performance against plan Use and development of Lessons Learned Ensures: Offshore installation activities are carried out in accordance with engineering details, procedures and specifications Offshore installation procedures and methodologies are in line with project standards and specifications Conduit for cross-functional information and data for: Integrated Project Schedule QC Plan (with QA Coordinator and inspector) Technical queries within project disciplines and between project/ suppliers Support: The offshore installation campaign by rotating on the installation vessels during the offshore campaign as required
