Job Title: Product Safety Engineer

What you’ll be doing:
1. Support peer reviews, checking, verification, and assurance tasks to demonstrate the adequacy and robustness of the Safety Case and supporting documentation.
2. Assist in the production and management of Project Safety Management Plans.
3. Develop a clear understanding of the wider Safety Case, Quality, and HS&E Management System.
4. Assist in the production, facilitation, and recording of Product Safety hazard and risk identification, management, and assessment activities.
5. Assist in the derivation and management of Product Safety requirements.
6. Assist in the production of training material to support training delivery.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential: Science/Technology/Engineering/Mathematics (STEM) Degree or equivalent. Awareness of the challenges posed by the environment that the product will be exposed to.
Desirable: Awareness of design, manufacturing, assembly, commissioning, and testing submarine lifecycle phases. Ability to interpret technical data.

The Integrated Combat Systems Team:
As a Product Safety Engineer, you will support the Engineering Delivery Manager in developing, delivering, and maintaining the Project Product Safety Management System and Product Safety Case to ensure products are safe to own and legal to operate.
