Position Title: Team Leader for Transportation Department
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £16.82 per hour. At the later stage, £32,000 – £35,000 per annum
Type: Full-time, Temp – Permanent
shift times:
* Tue – Sat 11:30 – 20:00 (includes 30mins unpaid break)
* Thu – Mon (Thu, Fri, Sat 03:30 – 12:00 & Sun, Mon 11:30 – 20:00) (includes 30mins unpaid break)
Start date: Monday 18th August 2025
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Team Leaders with excellent experience in supervising a team of drivers providing guidance and support to enhance performance and ongoing development
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise a team of drivers providing guidance and support to enhance performance and ongoing development
* Co-ordination & allocation of driver duties in line with driving and working time regulations
* Monitoring & manage performance
* Reporting & handling any exception which may arise during the shift
* Pre-shift meetings / briefings
* End of shift debrief and handovers
* Driver safety
What we are looking for:
* Knowledge or experience of DVSA compliance regulations (e.g. driver’s hours, WTD, tachograph laws, vehicle maintenance scheduling) & Health & Safety
* Supporting the business to maintain the obligations of the Operator’s Licence by maintaining accurate records of vehicle maintenance, driver compliance etc.
* Liaise with internal departments to achieve despatch / delivery timelines
* Monitor vehicle movements using telematics / GPS tracking systems
* Accident investigations
* Microsoft Office experience
* Telematics experience advantageous
* Tachograph systems experience advantageous
