The Department of Learning and Leadership (DLL) is a large specialist research and teaching department of approximately 110 academic staff. The department is a major world leader in the following subject areas: Early Years and Primary Education, Educational Leadership, Education Policy, and Initial Teacher Education (ITE). The Centre for Educational Leadership is an established and distinctive centre within the IOE's Department of Learning and Leadership with around 75 staff. Working for and with the teaching profession, CEL aims to be the first port of call for educational leadership and innovation in the UK and, increasingly, the world.
About the role
Programme Leaders in the Centre for Educational Leadership are creative, motivated and solution focused leaders of both programmes and people with successful, credible experience in the leadership of learning, equity and diversity.
We are now looking for a Programme Leader to lead bespoke leadership / teacher development programmes and consultancy projects in the UK and internationally.
The role will involve leading multiple teams across different projects as well as collaborating with centre colleagues in leading and contributing to existing programmes and projects. The successful candidate will respond to tender opportunities, create and sustain strong relationships with new partners, develop consultancy solutions and lead the design and delivery of professional development programmes in response to client requirements. They will model excellent practice as a facilitator of adult learning during the delivery of professional learning programmes.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a broad range of partners, including ministries of education, education foundations, donor funding agencies, local authorities, professional associations, independent schools and Multi-Academy Trusts. This role will involve significant national and international travel.

About you
Along with a successful career as a school leader, you will have experience of leading the design and delivery of professional learning at scale and/or national/ international importance.
You will also have substantial experience of developing collaborative working relationships with external partners and stakeholders, nationally and internationally.
