Band 8 Health, Safety, Fire & Estates Quality Lead Location: GuildfordJob Type: TemporaryDuration of booking: Expected to last 3 months with possible extensionProposed start date: ASAPPay Rates: £31.57 per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay via Direct EngagementHours / Working Days: 37.5 hours per week / Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pmSector: HealthcareBased: Office / Hospital Summary To be responsible for the lead on providing the Trust on behalf of Healthcare Partners, with a Health and Safety and fire comprehensive, high quality management system at both strategic and operational level, advising on effective control measures and monitoring performance.To ensure compliance with the various statutory legislation, (HSE, The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and guidance within the Health Technical Memorandum 05 Fire code suite of documents). Deliver training; carry out inspections and audits against the current health and safety To be responsible for providing a comprehensive health and safety, Fire strategy, supporting policy and suitable protocols and procedures.Provide leadership, ensuring that H&S is high on the Trusts agenda and that it is embedded in its day to day operation delivery. Co-ordinate, help, advice, and support ensuring regular team briefings on health and safety, Fire status, review risk assessment findings at departmental level and meetings. QualificationsFormal Health and Safety related qualification or 5 years health and safety knowledge and experience, (at least 3 years within an acute hospital)Senior Management ExperienceChartered membership of professional body (IOSH etc)Membership of professional organization (Institution of Fire Engineers)Experience of Fire Safety in a NHS environmentHTM Fire Risk Assessors Training
