The Governing Body wish to appoint a Temporary Nursery/ Reception Teacher to work at Llwydcoed Primary School to complement our existing team. We are seeking a motivated, caring, enthusiastic and reflective Class Teacher to join our friendly, committed and forward-thinking team. This is an exciting opportunity for a practitioner who is passionate about delivering high quality learning experiences and supporting all children to reach their full potential.
Llwydcoed Primary School is a happy, warm, friendly and welcoming school that is set in beautiful surroundings in the picturesque village of Llwydcoed, on the outskirts of Aberdare. We have a committed team of teaching and non-teaching staff and there are currently 145 pupils on roll. The school prides itself on high standards of teaching and learning, delivered through a broad and balanced curriculum that nurtures every child’s talent and encourages a positive attitude towards lifelong learning. Our pupils are enthusiastic, confident learners and our staff work collaboratively to ensure high standards for all pupils, always aspiring to achieve our school motto of ‘Growing, Striving, Achieving and Believing’.
We are looking for a creative and reflective practitioner with strong communication and organisational skills, alongside secure subject knowledge in Literacy, Numeracy, and the Curriculum for Wales. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues to provide engaging and positive learning experiences for all pupils, plan effectively to support progress, nurture learners with additional learning needs, and teach confidently across a mixed-age and varied-ability class.

•Actively support the school and pupils in promoting and embedding the use of the Welsh language across all areas of school life.

•Be adaptable and innovative.
•Communicate well with parents, carers and members of staff, as well as pupils.
•Demonstrate good communication skills both orally and written.

•Be willing to contribute to school life outside of the classroom.
•Effectively coordinate an AoLE, ensuring high-quality planning, delivery, and progression across the school.
•Take an active role in their own professional learning.
