Position Overview Solutions Consultants at RDT specialise in understanding unique challenges and needs and crafting tailored solutions to address them. They act as a bridge between the technical aspects of a product or service and the practical application within a specific business environment. They are the problem solvers, advisors, and strategic partners, all rolled into one. A Solutions Consultant helps in boosting productivity across our organisation. This, in turn, can lead to higher profitability and a stronger market position. They are a catalyst for positive change within RDT. Key Responsibilities Thoroughly understanding the client’s needs by conducting in-depth consultations, gathering data, and comprehending the pain points that the client is facing. Analysing the needs in order to architect a solution, tailoring the product or service to fit those needs, maximising effectiveness and efficiency Ensuring investment in the right solutions from the outset, thereby minimising costly trial-and-error approaches. Collaborating with the client and internal teams to ensure that the proposed solution aligns with RDT’s product strategy and the client’s objectives, budget, and timeline. Providing valuable insights and recommendations to clients, sharing best practices, industry trends, and strategies that can optimise the implementation and utilisation of the proposed solutions. Working closely with sales, product development, and project management teams to ensure a seamless transition from consultation to implementation. Technical Skills & Requirements Certified in a relevant discipline or qualified by experience At least 2 years’ experience as a Solutions Consultant or Business Analyst within the insurance industry in the UK personal lines market & London Market Experience in insurance administration systems Experience utilising AI & Prompt engineering favourable Knowledge of low-code automation tools & SaaS solutions Competency Requirements High levels of resilience & able to adapt to changing priorities & market needs Strong planning and organisational skills, able manage your own workload, identify conflicts and escalate appropriately Good attention to detail, with the ability to approach tasks & problems in a logical manner Natural problem solver with a strong analytical approach Ability to work independently & as part of a team Excellent communication skills both written and verbal using a variety of methods Working knowledge of APIs Good knowledge of project lifecycle and delivery in a technical environment Proven experience of working in Agile teams In addition, what would be great Ability to assess risk/return Previous experience working with web UIs Good knowledge of technical product management, development & testing methodologies Emotional intelligence and self-awareness Excellent interpersonal skills, effective negotiator Landscape experience Benefits & Opportunities 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays Company pension Private health cover Free parking at office Electric car salary sacrifice scheme Company social events Company Overview RDT is a leading technology company specializing in innovative software solutions.
