Job title: Social Worker - Children and Families Job Category: Social Care Qualified Hours per day: 7 Location: Atlas House, 2 Corporation Street, St Helens, WA9 1LD, St. Helens MBC Pay: £27.00 per hour Social Work England Registration required Job description The Duty Service responds to all referrals received from the MASH, and initiates all assessments and plans for children. The Duty Service has 4 teams, each with a team manager, assistant team manager and 6 social workers. You will be on duty once every 4 weeks in which you will respond to referrals and complete assessments where necessary. The right candidate must have experience of managing CIN/CP and PLO work ,managing sec 47 investigations and be able to work at a fast pace. We are currently looking for temporary workers while we recruit to permanent posts and can assure the correct support will be provided to you with regular supervision and a practice support team on hand to assist in developing your understanding of St Helens practice standards to achieve outstanding practice. The Duty Team is a short term team so once assessments are competed and a plan established, duty social workers will hold cases for a short term period on CIN with a view to step down, or where longer term support is required, and in cases of CP and PLO these will transfer at the first planning meeting.
