Role & Responsibilities
* To assist in generating fees throughout the management and development of existing and new clients and contribute towards the achievement of the financial and other objectives of the Building Surveying Department.
* To provide a full building surveying service to external clients and in house where required
* Carrying out Building Surveys of all types of commercial buildings and at times residential properties
* Preparation of Schedules of Dilapidations
* Project management, contract administration and design for refurbishment projects for commercial premises
* Undertaking CDM Co-ordinator role for in-house and external clients. Providing professional advice to clients and others as required.
* Providing a full Party Wall etc Act 1996 service to Building and Adjoining owners
* Preparation of Schedules of Condition
* Advising clients on preventative maintenance and planned maintenance strategy and implementing same.
* Investigating and advising client on specific building problems / defects
* Fire insurance valuations for commercial buildings and property portfolios
* Acting as expert witness in building or property disputes and providing appropriate reports etc
Skills & Experience
* MRICS Qualified or working towards chartership
* Broad range of experience in professional and project work
* Strong communication skills – verbal and written
* Ability to demonstrate technical competence.
* Current driving license.
