About the role
This 'Outstanding' Primary and Secondary SEND school, based in South Tyneside is looking to appoint a passionate Learning Support Mentorto work on a small class size and 1-to-1 basis with pupils on a full-time basis. Working in this Primary and Secondary SEND school as part of an established team, the desired Learning Support Mentorwill be working with pupils with SEND including Autism, MLD, SLD, ADHD, Specific Learning Difficulties and Speech and Language Difficulties. This full time Learning Support Mentorrole is long term from May ongoing with the possibility of a permanent vacancy for the right person.
For EHCP reasons, this role requires a male member of staff.
Positive behaviour management training is desirable but not essential (e.g. PRICE, Team Teach, MAPA).
