Account Manager – Industrial Water Treatment – Field Based (North Lincolnshire / East Yorkshire, UK)

The company's product portfolio includes a broad array of water treatment chemistries, process aids, functional additives, and state‑of‑the‑art monitoring and control systems. These technologies are used by customers to improve operational efficiencies, enhance product quality, protect plant assets, minimize environmental impact, and maintain healthy water.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Reporting to the Central Area Manager you will be expected to achieve your individual commercial targets in line with our business strategy.
* The management of industrial water treatment applications, including the routine testing of customers' cooling, boiler, waste and process water on your designated sites.
* Servicing water treatment applications on existing customer sites in line with the service schedules, account correspondence, contracts and orders; assisting with new business implementation, troubleshooting and follow‑up within your territory.
* Managing the customers' service schedules in line with the sites' water treatment program, UK legislation and best practice.
* Customers served include food and beverage, metal processing and general manufacturing.
* You will deal with several of your customers' technical and engineering site contacts and commercial buyers.
* Working with processes and systems to ensure that we meet customer needs and maintain our compliance obligations.
Requirements
The Individual:
* Graduate degree, preferably in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering, is an advantage or relevant years of experience in lieu of a degree.
* Progressive experience in sales/account management in the water treatment industry is a distinctive advantage.
* Sound technical knowledge of boiler and cooling water treatment products and applications.
* Knowledge of other water treatment applications, and/or experience in biocides, polymers and defoamers is advantageous.
* Customer‑focused approach – the ability to clearly communicate at all levels, meet the needs and expectations of demanding customers.
* Attention to detail and results‑focused – to deliver on our strategic business KPIs and compliance responsibilities.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
