We are working alongside a welcoming and inclusive specialist school in Oldham that is seeking a committed SEMH Behaviour Support Worker to join its experienced and supportive team. SEMH Behaviour Support Worker - Key Responsibilities
* Deliver one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
* Work closely with the class teacher to support learning activities, behaviour management, and targeted interventions
* Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and resilience throughout the school day
* Support the monitoring of pupil progress and maintain clear communication with staff and families
SEMH Behaviour Support Worker - Person Specification
* Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs (education, care, or youth settings)
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to behaviour support
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* A sound understanding of SEMH and SEND strategies
* A relevant qualification in education, care, or support is advantageous but not essential
SEMH Behaviour Support Worker - To Be Eligible You Must:
* Hold the Right to Work in the UK
* Have an enhanced child barred list DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply)
* Be able to provide two professional references (child-related preferred)
