Retail store assistant (with keyholder responsibility)
£13.65 per hour + benefits

Hours: 6 – Sundays only
Location: Chelsea shop
We’re looking for a motivated retail assistant to join Cancer Research UK’s trading team. You’ll act as an ambassador and manage the shop on Sundays.
Key responsibilities
* Oversee the running of the shop on a Sunday, including keyholder duties and supporting a team of volunteers.
* Assist the shop team in achieving sales and fundraising targets.
* Review and process donated goods and new stock.
* Propose creative ideas to generate additional income, with guidance from the Shop Manager.
* Use customer service skills to ensure customers feel welcome and appreciated.
* Maintain safeguarding, compliance, and health and safety standards.
* Perform necessary manual handling and physical activity as required day‑to‑day.
Qualifications and experience
* Working knowledge of excellent customer service.
* Experience in a lively, vibrant environment.
* Adaptability to changing situations, able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Commercial awareness.
* Strong relationship building and communication skills.
* Flexibility to accommodate rota‑based work and the needs of the business.
