JMC Aviation are working with an MRO company based in Stansted, looking to recruit a new MCC Controller to join their team.
The AOG team is a critical operational unit responsible for ensuring that customers' grounded aircraft are recovered in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. This is achieved by leveraging internal maintenance capabilities and a global network of third-party service providers. The MCC Controller plays a key role in enhancing the customer experience by acting as a central point of communication, improving AOG management and response, and supporting the company's strategic position in the aviation market by delivering a premium MRO service.

This is a Permanent Position based in Stansted, operating on a 4/5/5 day shift pattern, working 07:00 – 19:00, with 3 days office-based and remote working available for the remaining days.

The Role
The primary purpose of this role is to provide an improved customer experience by introducing a single point of contact for managing communications across the network, enhancing AOG management and strengthening the company’s strategic position within the aviation market by offering a premium MRO service.
Other Duties Involve
Providing bespoke solutions to customers' AOG occurrences
Producing AOG recovery plans detailing the recovery timeline, estimated serviceability, and allocated resources
Managing AOG events globally, ensuring safe, efficient, and effective recovery to minimise customer impact
Maintaining a dynamic communication loop with all internal and external stakeholders
Assisting the Operations Manager with the daily operation of the MCC department
Applying commercial awareness to operational decisions to benefit both customer and business
Ensuring standard operating procedures are followed during AOG recoveries
Supporting health & safety practices for staff deployed under MCC oversight
Complying with internal KYC and approved supplier procedures
Recording expenditure related to AOG events for accurate customer invoicing
Raising purchase requisitions as required
Assisting with logistics, including flights, transport, and accommodation
Supporting procurement of standard parts, consumables, and tooling
Coordinating with internal departments and external suppliers as necessary for AOG recovery
In Order to Be Successful in This Role the MCC Controller Will Need to Demonstrate the Following Skills and Attributes
A recognised apprenticeship within the aircraft industry, or
A qualified Part 66 licence holder with a minimum of 5 years’ experience, or
A university degree relevant to aircraft engineering or aviation management
Technical experience in aviation
A strong understanding of the complete AOG journey
Familiarity with aircraft maintenance production planning
Proven experience in driving operational improvement and change
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to perform under pressure and manage tight timelines
A methodical and organised approach to planning and execution
A valid UK Driver’s Licence (as travel to AOG locations may be required)
Right to live and work in the UK
