Accountabilities
* Lead the design and development of complex end device systems e.g. smart meters, sensors and actuators, control devices, communication devices.
* Lead technical project planning, support technical delivery managers in project planning activities & be technical lead for execution of such plans.
* Resolve advanced technical issues and provide expert troubleshooting.
* Lead the implementation of end device systems and infrastructure.
* Ensure technical documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
* Lead project planning and execution.
* Conduct solution reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
* Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
* Maintain and optimise end device systems.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
* Act as an escalation point for troubleshooting from junior engineers.
Skills
* End device engineering - knowledge of end device systems and infrastructure
* Diagnostic tools & technical problem solving skills - proficiency in diagnostic engineering tools and software
* IoT Communication Protocols - knowledge of IoT standards in LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, RF or Cellular IoT technologies
* RF Theory - knowledge of RF fundamentals
* Analytical and technical problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues
* Communication skills - collaborate with cross-functional teams, present technical info and provide training or support
* Attention to detail - keen attention to detail in identifying defects and ensuring accuracy
* Project management - ability to manage one or multiple projects or project tasks and meet deadlines
Knowledge & Experience
* Established experience in IoT end device engineering or a related field.
* In-depth knowledge of industry standards and best practices in end device systems relating to LoRaWAN, NB-IoT or Cellular IoT technologies.
* Proven track record of successful project delivery.
* Familiarity with agile methodologies is a plus.
* Familiarity with AWS systems is a plus.
Qualifications A Degree (or Equivalent Experience) In Systems
Engineering, Electronics, or a related field is advantageous.
