We are a well-established development team looking to strengthen our front-end expertise. This role will initially focus on migrating a legacy Web Forms/MVC application to a React-based Single Page Application (SPA) and afterwards continue to evolve as required. You’ll also contribute to new feature development and collaborate on API integrations.
Whilst this is a front-end focused role, there’s opportunity to learn back-end development in C# and .NET if you’re interested, although this is not a requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist and potentially lead with the migration of a legacy web application front-end to React SPA.
2. Build reusable components and front-end architecture using modern React.
3. Develop new features and maintain existing functionality.
4. Integrate with RESTful APIs and collaborate with back-end developers.
5. Participate in code reviews and learn best practices for performance and maintainability.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
We’re looking for developers ideally with some experience in React, who are also eager to build upon their skills and grow with us and maybe even guide us.
Essential:
6. Practical experience with, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, and CSS.
7. Understanding of state management (e.g., Context API).
8. Understanding of good practices for React and general Frontend development.
9. Familiarity with RESTful APIs (understand how to communicate with an API).
10. Knowledge of front-end build tools (Vite etc.)
11. Not afraid of the challenge of migration projects and legacy concepts.
12. Appreciation for responsive design and user experience UI/UX.
Desirable:
13. Tailwind / CSS and other frontend styling tools and frameworks.
14. Experience with or knowledge of unit testing (Jest, React Testing Library).
15. Interest in cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
16. Exposure to C#/.NET or willingness to learn.
