Role Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver effective, engaging lessons to a Year 4 class in line with the National Curriculum.
- Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment where all pupils can thrive.
- Use a range of assessment methods to monitor pupil progress and tailor teaching accordingly.
- Promote excellent behaviour and foster a culture of respect, resilience, and responsibility.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Key Stage 2 to share best practice and support school improvement.
- Maintain strong communication with parents and carers to support pupils’ learning and well-being.
- Participate fully in the wider life of the school, including staff meetings, CPD, and extracurricular activities.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
- Sound knowledge of the Year 4 curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive learning environment.
