Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Barnsley (S70, S71) Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract type -Day-to-day supply Support pupils with additional needs and help them thrive in a positive and inclusive school environment! GSL Education are currently recruiting a compassionate and proactive Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to work in schools across the S70 and S71 areas of Barnsley. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs, assisting them with learning activities while promoting independence and confidence. Core Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN. Assist the class teacher in delivering differentiated lessons. Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development. Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies. Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff. Requirements of SEN Teaching Assistant: Experience supporting children or young people with SEN. Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
