An opportunity has arisen with in the Commercial Services Team for a Commissioning Support Officer (Children’s Services). This is a diverse and interesting role, supporting the Children’s Services commissioning team to commission and manage high quality services for our children, young people and families.
We are looking for someone with the skills, knowledge, and experience to deliver excellent outcomes within the public sector.
You will be passionate about high level support, with first class organisational skills, and love working in a fast-paced environment with lots of variety. You will be flexible in your approach, have excellent communication skills and experienced in organising and minuting meetings. You will be an expert at diary management and capable of foreseeing and dealing with deadlines. Ideally you will have experience of remote meeting technology (such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom).
You will be able to access excellent learning and development opportunities to support you in your role and you will have the wider support from and become a key member of the Commercial Services Team.

Skills
Essential:
* Interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with a range of people; service users, suppliers, all levels within the Authority, external agencies and partner organisations.
* Ability to interpret complex information/data.
* Ability to organise and record meetings.
Knowledge
Essential:
* Experience of dealing effectively with the general public and specific agencies.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
* Experience of maintaining, developing and manipulating spreadsheet and database records.
* Experience of undertaking research, analysing data, interpreting and evaluating.
* Understanding and experience of interpreting complex statistical information.
* Educated to ‘A’ level standard as a minimum (to prove ability to research and analyse information) or equivalent.
