We are currently looking for a Yard Supervisor to join our team at our Sandtoft Operation Centre at DN9 1PN You'll be working from Monday to Friday, with no bank holiday working, so you'll benefit from a great work-life balance and have more time to yourself. Our yard Operatives are a dedicated team that are crucial to our operation, who love working outside in all weathers and have a passion for vehicles and working with cars. Our team consistently and promptly respond to customer requests and complete service orders to deadlines. They ensure that vehicles are stored and maintained in line with customer and company standards and operate a handheld device to take images of vehicles. Overall Purpose: The Yard Supervisor will work closely with the Yard Management Team and Office Supervisor to ensure the smooth running of the yard daily. This role will involve overseeing the depollution, processing and yard staff daily to ensure targets and performance are being achieved and all policies and procedures are followed. Ensuring continuous compliance for all site operations. Duties and Responsibilities: Assists with the managing of the day-to-day operations of the yard including depollution, processing, receiving and storage of vehicles. Controlling the traffic management on site for forklift movements, car transporters and scrap trailers entering and exiting the yard. Offers assistance to customers and handle customer issues whilst providing excellent customer service. Records vehicle information accurately and legibly including the logging of plant usage. Motivate and guide the different functions of the yard team. Use a forklift/tractor to move vehicles as required. Trains and carries out all safety inductions to staff and any external visitors. Ensure the site training records, including the safe systems of work are up to date, accurate and available for all members of staff. Maintains a positive attitude and professional approach. Follows Health & Safety, Environmental Policies and Company guidelines, to maintain a safe and efficient working environment. To deputise for the General Manager as requested/required.
