About The Role
Reporting to the Store Manager, you’ll assist in overseeing all aspects of your store's operations — leading your colleagues from the front and role modelling best practices. You’ll help deliver excellent store standards every day and use your commercial knowledge to maximise sales. This is a partnership role where you work closely with your Store Manager and play a key part in running and leading a successful store.
In the Store Manager’s absence, you’ll take charge of the store and drive the team to deliver strong results day in and day out. You’ll be on the shop floor with your team, coaching and inspiring them to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
* Be a Supportive Leader: Assist the Store Manager in running the store with passion, lead by example, and drive teamwork.
* Embrace Pace: Work in a fast-paced environment with large volumes of stock and products.
* Set the Standard: Maintain excellent store standards and consistently deliver KPIs.
* Coach a Winning Team: Develop the team, identify and nurture talent, and train them to achieve success.
* Love Retail: Demonstrate passion for retail with commercial awareness to benefit the team and store.
* Drive Compliance: Support in driving compliance in stock takes, Health & Safety and people processes.
What You'll Need / Qualifications
* Management experience within a fast-paced, high-turnover retail environment.
* Experience managing medium to large teams.
* History of delivering KPI targets.
* Flexibility to work a range of hours, including weekends & holidays.
* Experience in FMCG/big box setting is ideal but not essential.
