1. Deputise for the Mechanical Supervisor when absent, i.e. day to day management of the mechanical maintenance team, including but not limited to: 2. Assigning work packages. 3. Progress chasing. 4. Managing priorities and arising maintenance requirements from operational areas. 5. Ensuring work is closed out within the maintenance management system 6. Timekeeping, holidays, disciplinary matters. 7. First call for arising technical issues for mechanical team during daily activities. 8. Develop advanced maintenance practices within the mechanical team, i.e. condition monitoring. 9. Contribute to continuous improvement activities. Expectation is that the role is 50% maintenance task delivery, 50% enhanced duties. Managerial skills – conflict management, prioritisation, real-time awareness of job progress, short-to-medium term planning to deliver objectives.
