Software Quality Assurance Team Leader

The Role:
* As the Software Quality Assurance Team Leader, you'll oversee a skilled team responsible for supporting, testing, and maintaining software applications.
* You'll work closely with developers, business analysts, and senior stakeholders to ensure applications meet high-quality standards, regulatory requirements, and evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and mentor the Software Applications team to ensure optimal performance, collaboration, and professional development.
* Oversee software quality assurance efforts, ensuring smooth deployments with minimal disruptions.
* Manage support workloads and coordinate responses to technical issues across the software suite.
* Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve complex application issues.
* Maintain and monitor testing environments to ensure reliable development and deployment processes.
* Continuously evaluate software performance, identifying and implementing improvements to enhance user experience.
* Support software projects and drive timely delivery of application updates and releases.
* Act as a key liaison between IT and business units to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
* Maintain strong working relationships with software vendors and manage annual license and support contracts.
* Ensure application architecture and processes meet security and compliance standards.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Proven experience leading a software support or quality assurance team.
* Strong technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Effective communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical discussions.
* Excellent multitasking and project management abilities.
* In-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle and QA methodologies.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience in a similar leadership role within IT or software support.
* Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps, SQL, IIS, Postman API testing, and version control systems.
* Knowledge of mobile testing platforms is a plus
* Background in software testing frameworks and industry best practices.
* Exposure to Microsoft-based infrastructure and application environments.
