Salary: £36,000 – £38,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Days – core hours 8:30am to 3:30pm, with flexibility either side.
If you’ve achieved your 37.5 hours by 1pm on Friday, you can finish early.
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior CNC Miller to join our precision manufacturing team in Leamington Spa.
As a Senior CNC Miller, you’ll be responsible for setting and operating 4- and 5-axis CNC machining centres, producing high-quality prismatic transmission components for the motorsport and aerospace sectors. Working within a small, dedicated team, you’ll apply a right-first-time approach to every task, supported by offline programming tools such as EdgeCam and Delcam.
This is a hands-on position where technical skill, attention to detail, and pride in workmanship are key.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior CNC Miller
Set and operate CNC machining centres to produce precision components to tight tolerances.
Work from technical drawings and route cards to ensure all parts meet specification and timing requirements.
Read, understand, and edit Fanuc/ISO programmes, adjusting feeds and speeds where necessary.
Collaborate with offline programmers to optimise machining processes and productivity.
Inspect components using precision measuring equipment to verify conformance.
Deburr and fettle components during production to achieve required finish and quality.
Contribute to problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives within the machining team.
Operate multiple machines where required to meet output targets and delivery deadlines.
Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.
Key Skills and Experience of the Senior CNC Miller
Proven experience in 4- and 5-axis CNC milling of precision prismatic components.
Strong understanding of Fanuc/ISO controls, with the ability to make on-machine edits.
Confident interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Skilled in using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, gauges, CMM, etc.).
Experience machining a range of materials, including aluminium and steels, to tight tolerances.
Proactive, flexible, and collaborative approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
Willingness to work overtime when required.
Knowledge of wire erosion processes is advantageous but not essential.
