Key responsibilities
Coyle Education have formed a number of long-lasting relationships with secondary schools in Suffolk, Essex and Hertfordshire. We have earned an exceptional reputation within the Education industry and it's the responsibility of our employees to uphold these high quality standards when supervising a classroom or working within the school's environment.
When working as a Cover Supervisor for Coyle Education, you can expect to provide the following responsibilities:
19. Handing out pre-set work to students in accordance with lesson plan
20. Set out working expectations, allowing for quiet discussion
21. Manage the behaviour of pupils throughout the lesson
22. Respond to any questions in a positive manner
23. Remain calm and take responsibility in emergency situations
24. Take note of any issues that may arise to report back to the school
25. Collect all completed work at the end of the lesson
26. Act as a role model to the students and lead by example
Working hours
Our schools typically operate between Mon – Fri, 08:30 – 15:15 but are closed during the school holidays and half-terms. This means you'll have plenty of time for personal commitments outside of working hours and can benefit from the time off over Christmas, Easter and the summer. You will receive your accumulated holiday pay.
Flexibility
When working with, you’ll have control over your shifts that you work, allowing you to organise your week and plan according to your needs and preferences and can work Full-time or Part-time with us. The school year consists of 195 days in total.
Working as a Cover Supervisor is extremely rewarding and you'll have a real impact on the lives of the future generation. Naturally, there are challenges of working with a large group but our employees tend to form positive relationships with both their schools and its pupils, leading to more working opportunities and quite often longer-term placements.
Rate of pay
You can choose to be paid via PAYE or umbrella!
Rate of pays vary from £88 per day (plus 12.07% holiday pay which equates to £100) and £123 per day (plus 12.07% holiday pay which equates to £140)
Based on qualifications and experience
Umbrella payments range from £100 - £150 with holiday pay being optional

Requirements:
We require all candidates to posses an Enhanced DBS check that is on the update service. If you do not already have one Coyle Education can process one for you.
All candidates must complete a Level 2 safeguarding training and prevent awareness training. We do offer free safeguarding training.
You must posses the right to work in the UK and being over the age of 18.
