Infrastructure Engineer (BAU) – SC Cleared Location: Hampshire (on-site minimum 4 days/week) Clearance: SC required Contract Length: ASAP start – provisionally until end of July Sector: Secure / Defence Environment Overview We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support BAU operations within a secure, high-availability environment. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimising VMware infrastructure, ensuring resilience, performance, and security across virtualised platforms. Key Responsibilities Administer VMware vSphere environments including ESXi hosts, vCenter, clusters, and resource pools Design and maintain vSAN hyper-converged storage solutions Configure and manage HA/DRS for high availability and failover resilience Manage VMware networking including vSwitches, distributed switches, VLANs, and segmentation Support backup and disaster recovery integrations (e.g., Veeam, SRM, Zerto) Automate provisioning using PowerCLI and templates Monitor and optimise performance across hosts and VMs Apply security hardening and compliance controls Desirable VMware Horizon / VDI experience Experience in secure or regulated environments Apply / Refer If you are an SC-cleared Infrastructure Engineer available at short notice and looking to support a critical secure programme, we would welcome a confidential conversation.
