The Role:
They are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join their pre-construction team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and tenders for a wide variety of building projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
* Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
* Prepare and submit tender documents in line with deadlines.
* Attend tender reviews and client meetings as required.
* Assist in value engineering and cost planning throughout the tender process.
* Maintain a database of pricing information and supplier contacts.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as an Estimator within a main contracting environment.
* Strong understanding of construction processes and techniques.
* Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and work to deadlines.
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
