Support Staff - Art Camp UK (Leeds & York)
Join Our Creative Holiday Team!
We're on the lookout for enthusiastic and committed Support Staff to join our vibrant Art Camp team this summer across sites in Leeds and York. If you love working with children, enjoy the arts, and want a rewarding role in a dynamic, creative environment - we want to hear from you.
The Role:
You'll support the day-to-day running of camp by assisting lead practitioners in delivering arts-based workshops. This includes setting up activities, engaging children aged 5-11, ensuring safety, and bringing energy and creativity to every day. Some experience with Early Years is helpful, but we also need support for our Junior Art Campers (6-11).
What We're Looking For:
Experience in a classroom, childcare, or workshop setting
Passion for creativity, play, and working with young people
Ability to support a variety of arts, crafts, or performance-based sessions
Reliability, enthusiasm, and great teamwork skills
DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to complete one)
Safeguarding & First Aid certificates are a bonus - training provided if needed
Driving licence helpful (we operate across multiple venues)

Pay & Hours:
Daily Pay: £85-£95 (depending on experience)
Hours: 8:30am-4:00pm, Monday to Friday
Full Summer (6 weeks): Up to £2,850

* Experience working with children in a professional or voluntary capacity.
* A positive, can-do attitude and a passion for creative arts.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* An understanding of safeguarding and child protection (training can be provided).
* Flexibility to adapt to different tasks and support various workshop themes.
* A background in art, drama, dance, music, or education is an advantage.
* First Aid qualification is a plus.
* Experience working with children with additional needs is beneficial.
Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist workshop leaders in preparing and delivering creative activities (e.g., arts and crafts, drama, dance, music, and outdoor activities).
2. Supervise and engage with children during workshops to ensure their safety and enjoyment.
3. Help set up and pack away equipment and materials.
4. Support children with varying abilities and needs, ensuring every child feels included and valued.
5. Promote positive behavior and resolve minor conflicts in a calm and supportive manner.
6. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and other team members.
