Key Responsibilities Support the Registered Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high-quality, therapeutic care aligned with Ofsted standards. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of care professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and support. Serve as a positive role model, building trust-based relationships with children and staff to promote growth and resilience. Manage rotas, budgets, and resources to ensure smooth and effective home operations. Create a warm, stable environment where young people feel valued, supported, and empowered. Ensure robust safeguarding practices and compliance with relevant legislation. Work flexibly, including 08:00-22:00 shifts and sleep-in duties (approx. 4-8 per month). What We're Looking For Essential : Minimum of 3 years' experience in a residential children's home setting. Essential : NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent). Essential : Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. Strong knowledge of Ofsted legislation, safeguarding procedures, and best practices in children's residential care. Proven experience managing budgets and rotas. Dynamic, proactive leader with excellent communication and mentoring skills. A compassionate and resilient approach to supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs. Flexibility to work shifts and undertake sleep-in duties as required.
