This 1 form entry primary school, a short walk from West Brompton and Earls Court stations, are looking for a dedicated and passionate year 2 teacher to join their team from September 2025. This primary school is Ofsted awarded outstanding in all areas. Year 2 Teacher Role Overview
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a stimulating, engaging, and supportive classroom where each child can thrive. You will plan and deliver a high:quality curriculum that encourages curiosity, creativity, and resilience in a safe, inclusive environment. Working alongside a team of committed professionals, you will play a key role in promoting a love of learning, supporting students academic progress, and developing their social and emotional well:being.
Key Responsibilities of the year 2 Teacher
* Plan, prepare, and deliver inspiring lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum.
* Create a positive and engaging classroom environment that promotes active learning and respect.
* Assess, record, and report on students development, progress, and attainment.
* Use assessment data to tailor learning activities to meet individual needs and challenge all learners.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan cross:curricular and enrichment activities.
* Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other stakeholders to support student development.
* Maintain up:to:date knowledge of teaching best practices and curriculum changes.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably Year 2.
* A solid understanding of the Year 2 curriculum and assessment requirements.
* Strong commitment to inclusive teaching and the ability to adapt to varied learning needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive, proactive attitude.
* Ability to foster a nurturing and motivating classroom environment.
