Offer description

Join to apply for the CAMHS Clinical Department Manager role at NHS Ayrshire & Arran.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, highly motivated individual who wishes to contribute to the NHS Forth Valley Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and Paediatrics within Women and Children’s Directorate in the role of Clinical Manager. This redesigned post complements the existing management team across Forth Valley and focuses on the clinical coordination of patient journeys through the service.

Key responsibilities include assurance of all aspects of care delivery, managing external and internal referral processes with a robust, systematic approach underpinning the Choice and Partnership framework (CAPA). The role supports a programme of continuous improvement, patient‑centred care, clinical governance, staff support and wellbeing.

Applicants should have experience leading change within a multi‑disciplinary environment and exhibit a collaborative approach as a senior leader. Excellent communication and analytical skills are essential, as is the ability to understand healthcare provisions within budgetary constraints and resource management while meeting national targets for waiting times.

The post will be based across the Forth Valley Board area. If you believe you have the skills, experience and attributes required, we would love to hear from you.

For information enquiries please contact Lesley Dunabie, Department Manager and Head of Nursing in CAMHS on 01786 454546 or via email lesley.dunabie2@nhs.scot.

If you are currently working on a Skilled Worker visa, transitional arrangements may apply. Sponsorship is assessed on a case‑by‑case basis following interview and pre‑employment checks. For further information on visa requirements and sponsorship eligibility, please refer to the UK Government guidance.

The duties of this post require the successful candidate to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. More information on this scheme can be found at www.disclosurescotland.co.uk.

Applicants should provide original and authentic responses to all application questions. Use of AI, automated tools, or third‑party assistance to draft or modify answers is strongly discouraged. By submitting your application, you confirm the responses are your own work and reflect your personal knowledge, skills and experience. Failure to comply may result in withdrawal from the application process.

NHS Forth Valley is committed to supporting disabled people and will offer interview adjustments to those who meet the minimum criteria. Please contact the Recruitment Office on 0330 041 4694 for reasonable adjustments.
