We are looking for a Weighbridge Operator / Order Processing Customer Support to join our team at Petterden. This is a key role within our site operations where you will be responsible for managing weighbridge activity, processing orders, and ensuring all site transactions are recorded accurately.
You will act as a central point of contact between drivers, customers, and the wider operations team, so your attention to detail and ability to manage a busy workload is essential.
Job Activities:
* Welcome, with a professional and friendly approach, all drivers and visitors to site
* Accurately weigh vehicles in and out using the weighbridge system
* Create, record and process orders onto internal systems in a timely manner
* Ensure all documentation is completed correctly, including tickets and transfer notes
* Liaise with drivers, customers, and site staff to ensure smooth daily operations
* Handle general enquiries both face-to-face and over the phone
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company procedures
* Support with administrative duties relating to site operations
* Work closely with the wider team to ensure efficient running of the site
* Demonstrate a positive approach to change and continuous improvement
Knowledge and Skills Required:
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential
* Previous experience in an administrative or weighbridge role is desirable
* Confident IT skills, including experience using Microsoft packages
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
* Strong communication skills with a professional manner
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Organised and proactive approach to workload
* A positive and flexible attitude towards work
