We are looking for a hands-on and motivated Production Supervisor on behalf of a well-established and forward-thinking manufacturing business based in Consett.

The Role
Reporting into the Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of production, ensuring operations are safe, efficient, and aligned with business targets.
Your responsibilities will include:
3. Leading, motivating and supervising a team of around 20 employees
4. Planning and coordinating daily production activities to meet quality and delivery targets
5. Driving improvements through lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
6. Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety standards, including audits and risk assessments
7. Maintaining high product quality standards and supporting ISO 9001 processes
8. Creating a positive, collaborative and high-performing team environment
About You
To succeed in this Production Supervisor role, you will bring:
9. 3-5 years' experience within a manufacturing/production environment
10. Proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team
11. Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and best practice
12. Experience or exposure to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
13. Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
14. The ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively
Desirable (but not essential):
15. IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
16. Leadership and Management qualification (Level 3 or equivalent)
17. Experience with ISO 9001 and/or internal auditing
18. A track record of identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvements
