The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Business Studies Teacher to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will teach Business Studies across Key Stages 4 and 5, inspiring students to develop entrepreneurial thinking, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of the modern business world.

You will play a key role in maintaining the department’s strong outcomes and reputation for engaging, high-quality teaching. This post would suit an experienced teacher or an early career teacher (ECT) with a passion for the subject and a desire to make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities

* Teach Business Studies across KS4 and KS5, following relevant GCSE and A Level specifications.

* Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons that challenge and inspire students of all abilities.

* Prepare students effectively for internal and external examinations, ensuring strong progress and attainment.

* Contribute to the development of engaging schemes of work and innovative teaching resources.

* Use data to monitor progress and implement targeted interventions where needed.

* Foster a stimulating learning environment that encourages creativity, independence, and collaboration.

* Support the department’s enrichment programme through enterprise clubs, competitions, and school events.

* Uphold the Catholic ethos of the school and contribute positively to its wider life and community.

About You

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.

* Experience teaching Business Studies to GCSE and/or A Level (applications from ECTs are welcome).

* Strong subject knowledge and an enthusiasm for promoting business education.

* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

* Ability to motivate students and maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.

* Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and professional growth.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
