Job Description:
Do you have a passion for working with children?
Are you looking for a flexible role to fit in with your lifestyle?
Would you like the opportunity to work in various schools across Eastbourne and Hailsham?
Competitive rates of pay starting from £90*
Your new school
You will be working for Hays as bank staff where you will be placed in various settings including primary and secondary schools. You will be working with children aged 4 to 16, which can be tailored to your preferences. You will be able to work in your desired location across Eastbourne and Hailsham and work around your commitments. When the schools are open, we will help support you with as much or as little work as you need.
Your new role
As a teaching assistant, you will support settings, working where required; supporting pupils with their learning, helping set up and tidy the rooms, working with children and ensuring the environment is safe at all times. You won't be expected to complete any learning diaries, making this a great opportunity to gain confidence and learn new skills. The role as a temporary teaching assistant offers complete flexibility over the days you wish to work week by week.
What you'll need to succeed
We are ideally looking for Level 2 or Level 3 qualified teaching assistants. However, we are open to unqualified candidates with recent relevant experience that can be referenced. You will need to be reliable, adaptable, and enthusiastic; the schools you are placed in will expect you to be hands-on and willing to help out in the setting. Roles may include working in a classroom with children or one-to-one support for specific pupils. Experience working with SEN children is advantageous.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a competitive daily rate including holiday pay. You will get the support needed to settle into the school routine. You will have set hours for a fixed period, enabling you to plan your commitments or childcare where needed. This is a fantastic opportunity to work around your schedule in your desired location while gaining experience and confidence in working with children. Working with Hays, you have access to our learning platform with over 200 free courses to support your professional development.
