Charles Brand currently have a team delivering work in Scotland and with recent growth in the region we want to establish a team based in Scotland.

Role overview
You will use all your skills, knowledge and expertise in civil engineering to ensure our projects are delivered to budget, on time and to the highest standard. You will also lead people and teams effectively, doing the right thing when it matters most. This role will commence on an exciting new project for us at the Corran Ferry Port. You will be responsible for site operations and work collaboratively across the business with other departments, site teams and other stakeholders.
What we're looking for
We are looking for someone with:
6. Substantial experience as a Project Manager within a Civil Engineering environment
7. A degree in Construction, Civil Engineering or related subject
8. Proven Track record of leading complex Civil Engineering Projects
9. Experience of leading, managing and motivating project teams in demanding environments
10. Ability to read and understand Construction drawings, Contract Documents, and Specifications
11. A good understanding of elements necessary to deliver effective supply chain management and support across the organisation
12. Good management skills, and the ability to motivate employees to achieve high standards of compliance
13. Ability to monitor performance and intervene appropriately to ensure targets are achieved and exceeded
14. A strong communicator, comfortable interfacing with senior executives and external clients
15. Strong IT literacy, including MS Office and Management Systems
16. Full Valid Driving License, that permits driving in the UK
It would also be desirable to have:
17. Achieved or be working towards professional membership with an appropriate organisation (for example ICE/CIOB)
18. Nebosh Qualification
19. Experience on marine works
