Operations Manager
* Annual Salary: £40k - £45k plus up to 10% company bonus
* Location: York – Office based with 1 day hybrid

We are seeking an Operations Manager to enhance operational efficiency across our client, a dynamic property consultancy. This role is crucial for ensuring that all departments including property management, facilities management, and accounts operate effectively. The ideal candidate will have a background in property/professional services, with a proven ability to drive operational excellence and support strategic business objectives.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Oversee the smooth operation of core business departments, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency.
* Monitor and ensure compliance with industry regulations and client expectations.
* Manage the accounts department/team, overseeing budgets, cash flow, invoicing, and financial reporting.
* Maintain adherence to legal, regulatory, and health & safety requirements across all business activities.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures to boost business performance.
* Manage budgets, resources, and operational costs effectively.
* Identify and mitigate operational risks.
* Facilitate collaboration among department heads and team members to ensure effective service delivery.
* Lead operational staff, promoting a culture of accountability and excellence.
* Ensure all key target dates and deadlines are met promptly.
* Support client relationships by maintaining high levels of service and operational efficiency.
* Implement technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all operational areas.
* Monitor and report on key performance metrics.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in an Operations Management role, ideally within real estate or professional services.
* Strong financial acumen with experience in managing processes, budgets, and reporting.
* Knowledge of industry regulations, lease structures, and compliance requirements.
* Excellent leadership and people management skills.
* Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Ability to implement and manage digital tools for operational efficiency.
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
