Building Control Surveyor
Location: King Square, Bridgwater, TA6 3AR

Contract Duration: 6+ Months
Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week

Responsibilities
* Conduct inspections and surveys of buildings to ensure compliance with building regulations and standards.
* Provide expert advice on construction projects and building designs to ensure safety and compliance.
* Assess and approve building plans and specifications submitted by developers and contractors.
* Investigate and resolve issues related to building defects, safety concerns, and non-compliance.
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to facilitate project completion.
* Prepare detailed reports and documentation on inspections and findings.
* Stay updated on changes in building regulations and industry standards.
* Engage with stakeholders, including property owners, developers, and the public, to address concerns and provide guidance.
Person Specification
* Relevant qualification in building surveying or a related field.
* Proven experience in building control, surveying, or a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of building regulations, standards, and construction processes.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring safety and compliance.
* Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for surveying and reporting.
