As a Health, Safety and Environmental Engineer M/F/D you will report to the Health & Safety Team Learder in the Manufacturing based in Telford for a Permanent contract.
Reporting to the H&S Manager, you’ll take a proactive, hands-on approach to improving safety, working conditions, and environmental performance. You’ll work closely with shop-floor teams and lead the implementation of practical action plans.
What you will do?
* Ensure compliance and validate safety documentation for work equipment
* Investigate workplace incidents and occupational health issues
* Design and deliver engaging H&S training
* Carry out risk assessments and specific hazard analyses eg COSHH
* Conduct H&S audits and site inspections
* Assist in the accreditation of ISO 45001 & ISO 14001
* Perform environmental assessments and coordinate improvement plans
What about you?
* IOSH qualification (or equivalent) in Health & Safety is desirable
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in Manufacturing Health & Safety
* Strong knowledge of equipment compliance and corrective actions
* Highly organised, self-motivated, with excellent communication and influencing skills
