Deputy Headteacher/ALNCO required for January 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter. ISR: L5 - 9. Age of pupils on roll: 3 to 11 years. Pupils on roll: 280.
The governing body is looking for an enthusiastic, inspirational and resilient Deputy Headteacher. The candidate will have the capacity to lead and motivate our dedicated staff and pupils to the next stage of our continued development and improvement. They will have a strong and caring leadership style, with the ability to inspire and bring out the best in everyone. This leadership role has a teaching commitment. The successful candidate will work with the Headteacher to further develop a committed team of staff and wonderful pupils. The successful candidate will also be the ALNCO for the school and oversee the Learning Resource Centre (LRC).
The Successful Candidate Will Need To Have
* A track record of excellent practice in teaching and learning across the school
* Outstanding leadership and management skills with leadership experience in a primary school
* Experience of being an ALNCO and an excellent understanding of the ALN processes and procedures
* Experience of leading or working within an LRC
* A clear understanding of current key national and local issues, including an active interest in developments around a knowledge based rich curriculum
* A sense of vision, with the energy and commitment to develop the school and ensure the highest standards of achievement for all pupils across the full range of school activity
* The ability, honesty and integrity to build and lead teams and work successfully in partnership with staff, governors, parents and other agencies
* A good understanding of the latest developments in school effectiveness, inclusion and wellbeing
* A commitment to promote and continue to develop extracurricular activities and experiences
